Project Sharing with Final Cut Pro
Stephen Kanter presents a potentially revolutionary new workflow that will allow Avid Unity-style project sharing with Final Cut Pro.
Price: $1.99 | Explicit? clean
Final Cut Studio Master Trainer and FCP for Avid Editors guru Stephen Kanter presents a potentially revolutionary new workflow that will allow Avid Unity-style project sharing with Final Cut Pro. After years of training and consulting onsite for clients at NBC/Universal, Warner Bros., ABC, CBS, FOX, and Reelz Channel, on shows like Ellen, In Plain Sight and Access Hollywood, Stephen has responded to oft-repeated request for project sharing with a workflow that will mimic, in almost every important respect, the user experience of sharing projects on Unity, a workflow he calls Final Cut Synergy. With the utilization of existing Apple systems and software, and a simple paradigm shift, multiple editors on Xsan can collaborate using the same kind of auto-updating project-sharing techniques that once were exclusive to Unity. Recently presented at two overbooked events at the Editor’s Guild, Stephen will demonstrate the process to his toughest audience, LAFCPUG members.

Sync-N-Link for FCP
A demonstration of the Sync-N-Link software for automatically synchronizing dual system sound based on matching Timecode.
Price: $0.50 | Explicit? clean
Intelligent Assistance set out to attempt to replicate the functionality of Avid's Auto-sync for Final Cut Pro users, and went one better. Sync-N-Link can be used to synchronize timecode- synchronized dual system audio and video automatically before editorial (like you've been able to do with Avid for years). However Sync-N-Link goes one better: proceed through editorial with camera audio and when close to picture lock send the sequence (via XML) to Sync-N-Link and in return get the Sequence back with the camera audio replaced by the multi-track audio. We leave all your temp effects and music in place on lower tracks, while giving you all the BWF or multi- track audio in place of the camera temp.
